Our Story

Our founder, Channel, pronounced like Chanel N°5, was inspired to open Wax Dreamz due to her own journey
with body hair. Coming from Afro Caribbean roots, Puerto Rican & Dominican, & dealing with PMOS (formerly
PCOS) she experienced hirsutism – excessive growth of dark or coarse hair in a male-like pattern. Due to this,
shaving caused great discomfort and did little to reduce or change her hair growth. But waxing changed her
skin, in turn changing her life! This is why she decided to become a licensed esthetician, est. June 2018.
